created to help speech-language pathologists understand what a job offer is really worth before they accept or negotiate.

I am Grace May, M.A., CCC-SLP. I have worked across school-based, medical, rehabilitation, home health, PRN and contract settings. I have seen firsthand how difficult it can be to compare compensation across roles. An advertised salary or hourly rate rarely tells the full story. Workload, unpaid responsibilities, benefits, guaranteed hours and contract terms can all change the practical value of an offer.

After helping colleagues and friends negotiate higher compensation and identifying a multi-thousand-dollar compensation gap in my own role, I created these resources to give other SLPs a clearer way to evaluate their options and know their worth.

The goal is simple, help you make a more informed decision, identify what may be worth negotiating and avoid leaving money on the table.
